Idukki:
• Idukki Arch Dam:
It is the first arch dam in Asia and second in the
world. It is built across Kuravan Kurathi hills. It is
550 feet high and 650 feet wide.
• Idukki Wild Life
Sanctuary: It offers a
great retreat to your eyes. It covers 77 kilometers and
is blessed with awe-inspiring natural beauty. It is home
to the exotic species of mammals like bisons, jungle
cats, wild boars, tiger, sambar deer and many other
animals. It boasts of a beautiful lake, where you can
enjoy picnicking, boating and bird watching.

life safari to see the herds of elephants bathing in the
lake.

habitants of this sanctuary include vipers, cobra and
kraits. Idukki wild life sanctuary is a paradise for
